Hygenic Impervious Epoxy Tile Adhesive

FORTFIX -E48 is a watertight tile adhesive with a high bonding strength when applied to glazed and unglazed ceramic tiles, concrete, render, floor screeds, aluminium and stainless steel.

FORTFIX -E48 Adhesive is a chemical resistant, epoxy adhesive that will bond to most sound, clean surfaces. Adhesive spreads easily and cleans with water while fresh. FORTFIX -E48 Adhesive is a factory-proportioned kit consisting of epoxy resin, hardener and chemical resistant silica filler. FORTFIX -E48 Adhesive can be used in interior and exterior (see limitations) walls and floors, wet and dry areas.

Application

Large installations including: supermarkets/malls/swimming pools/sports centres/food preparation plants/hospitals/ industrial plants
For heavy duty commercial chemical resistant installations in food processing areas, commercial kitchens, restaurants, etc. Also use FORTFIX E 48 Adhesive to install all types of ceramic tile, marble and natural stone over post-tensioned and precast floor systems. Also recommended for rubber flooring and wood block floors, the installation of green marble, white marble, and resin backed tiles and stones agglomerate marbles that have a tendency to stain, darken or warp when installed with water-based installation materials.

  • Temperature range for use : +5°C to +54°C
  • Apply FORTFIX up to a working area of not more than 1 square meter at one time
  • Place tiles firmly on the adhesive bed insuring good contact with a twisting motion.
  • It is recommended that the tiles are “beat in” to obtain good transfer of mortar to tile and proper alignment
  • It is not advisable to adjust tiles in mortar after 10-15minutes of its setting

Packing

Multi Component Kits of different sizes to suit the requirements available.

Storage

12 months from date of manufacture when stored under warehouse conditions in original unopened packing. Extreme temperature/humidity may reduce shelf life.
